The Michelin Guide officially announces

the launch of the Michelin Guide Shanghai Jiangsu Zhejiang in 2026!

For the first time, it will integrate the selections from Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Jiangsu Province,

and add three treasure troves of gastronomy:

Taizhou, Changzhou, and Wenzhou!

Nestled along the eastern coast of Zhejiang, Taizhou's unique geography, where mountains embrace the sea, fosters a distinctive culinary foundation. Here, one finds both the supremely fresh sweetness of East China Sea delicacies like sea anemones, octopus, and Sanmen blue crabs, as well as the honest, original flavors of mountain forest produce such as bamboo shoot tips, mushrooms, and wild greens.

Taizhou cuisine is characterized by its freshness, delightful chewiness, and subtle sweetness. It steadfastly adheres to "home-style cooking" techniques, preserving the intrinsic flavors of ingredients through methods like saltwater blanching and simple poaching. Signature dishes like Sea Anemone with Bean Thread Noodles and Home-Style Braised Yellow Croaker enjoy renown far and wide.
