Suchengji: The Taste of Taizhou in Intangible Cultural Heritage Craftsmanship

发布时间: 2026-03-19 10:42:30

Suchengji traces its origins back to 1955, having journeyed through nearly seventy years of history. In 2021, Cheng Qiao, the third-generation inheritor, upgraded the ancestral "Changwangtou Cake Shop" to Yuhuan Youwei Food Co., Ltd. Registering the brand Suchengji—a name imbued with craftsmanship, taking the character "酥Su" (crispy pastry) as its soul and the sound "程Cheng" (Cheng, the family name) as its phonetics.

As a representative inheritor of Yuhuan's intangible cultural heritage at the municipal level, Cheng Qiao not only carries on the ancestral craft but also continuously delves into research and innovation. She has fully realized the distinctive characteristics of traditional Yuhuan pastries: thin crust with generous filling, rich oiliness with soft smoothness, crispy exterior with tender interior, and a delightful balance of sweet and savory flavors.

Yuhuan Yousuo resembles fried dough twists in appearance, offering a crispy texture with an interplay of sweet and savory notes. Wentan Su (Pomelo Crisp) features a flaky exterior and tender interior, exuding a fresh fruity aroma. Huasu (Floral Crisp) boasts an exquisite shape and a refreshing low-sugar profile. Qiaoren Su (Qiaoren Crisp) contains rich fillings with various options such as red bean paste with egg yolk and black truffle with egg yolk, catering to both sweet and savory preferences.
