At the Vibrant Flavors Zone of the 4th Taizhou Premium Food Week, such praises rang out one after another, as a feast for the taste buds was in full swing.
Entering the Vibrant Flavors Zone, the air was filled with an enticing mix of the smoky aroma of frying, the sweet freshness of seafood, and the delicate scent of fruit. The zone featured four main culinary sections – the Frying Area, the Steamed Seafood Area, the Fresh Juice Area, and the Gift Box Area – drawing food enthusiasts to stop, take photos, and savor the offerings. In the Steamed Seafood Area, wisps of steam rose continuously. Neatly arranged were "3 female, 4 male" hairy crabs, Rushan No. 5+ oysters, plump whelks, giant river prawns, and uniquely flavored drunken hairy crabs, all looking incredibly appetizing.
"Our seafood is shipped directly from its origin to ensure freshness and quality. We use steaming to preserve its natural flavor, allowing customers to experience the purest taste of the sea's sweetness," enthusiastically introduced Ke Konghui, Director of Deep Processing at Jihuasheng Supermarket. Mr. Li, who was focused on savoring a hairy crab nearby, gave a thumbs-up and praised, "These hairy crabs are large, with firm flesh. Paired with the special dipping sauce, it's a true delight!" Ke Konghui added, "The hairy crabs are indeed very popular. We've already sold five or six hundred! Some customers also buy live crabs as gifts, which we can pack for them right here in the Gift Box Area."
A crowd was also waiting in the adjacent Frying Area. The counter was laden with aromatic grilled sausages, crispy-on-the-outside-tender-on-the-inside beltfish and small yellow croaker, as well as popcorn chicken, crispy pork, and fried shrimp, which were particularly popular with children. A staff member, skillfully flipping the sizzling food in the fryer, said with a smile, "We use only fresh ingredients, frying them on the spot. Everyone loves them." A nearby child, with an oily mouth, wiped it with his hand and grabbed another piece of popcorn chicken, declaring, "Smells good, so delicious."
As the child happily ate, his mother ordered a cup of watermelon juice from the Fresh Juice Area. "Worried he might get tired of the fried food," she explained. Our reporter observed that the juice area was stocked with watermelons, red pomelos, Korean pears, snow pears, pineapples, pomegranates, cantaloupes, and coconuts. Staff members freshly cut and juiced the fruits, their sweet, clear fragrance instantly dispersing in the air.
