2025 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide Released: 6 Taizhou Cuisine Restaurants from Zhejiang Make the List!
On January 6th(2025), Meituan's Black Pearl Restaurant Guide unveiled the latest 2025 Black Pearl Restaurant list in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. A total of 370 restaurants across 34 cities were featured. Among the restaurants in Hangzhou, two specialize in Taizhou cuisine, and four restaurants in Taizhou itself made the list, with one dish also receiving the Annual Dish Award.
In the 2025 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide, four restaurants from Taizhou were selected, including one Three-Diamond restaurant, one Two-Diamond restaurant, and two One-Diamond restaurants. Two restaurants have been on the list for eight consecutive years: Xin Rong Ji (Central Avenue Branch) and Laobian Restaurant. Among them, Laobian Restaurant's "Old Duck Dumpling" was honored with the 2025 Annual Dish Award.
Unlike the past trend of conspicuous consumption focused on piling high-end ingredients and excessive plating, today's consumers pay more attention to high quality and the long-term value experience brought by brands. Wang Puzhong, CEO of Meituan's Core Local Commerce, stated that no matter how the consumption environment changes, some people will always adhere to the highest standards, and some enterprises will always bear the responsibility of preserving heritage while innovating. Doing a good job with food is the most important part of a beautiful life.
In the future, the Black Pearl will continue to expand overseas, stimulating culinary exchanges between China and the world. Wang Puzhong mentioned that Black Pearl restaurants should promote themselves in the global market, engaging in mutual exchange, learning, and integration. Meituan will remain true to its original aspiration, using the "Black Pearl" to polish the name card of local cuisine and spread Chinese culinary culture to the world.
