Announcement of the 2025 Sixth Edition "Taizhou Characteristic Souvenirs"

After undergoing county-level recommendations, municipal preliminary evaluations, and comprehensive assessments, the 2025 sixth edition "Taizhou Characteristic Souvenirs" were freshly unveiled November 20. Thirty products made the list, including Luqiao Huanglang Blue Crab, Wenling Kirin Watermelon, Linhai Zhang Xiujuan Silk Paper-Cutting, and Huangyan Shen Baoshan Chinese Medicinal Sachets.

The 30 selected characteristic souvenirs were chosen from 111 evaluated products, comprising 24 food items and 6 non-food items. The list features iconic local specialties such as Yuhuang Pomelo and Tiantai Solomon’s Seal, as well as intangible cultural heritage handicrafts like silk paper-cutting, Chinese medicinal sachets, blue calico, and straw hats. The final selection was determined through on-site evaluations by experts and the public, combined with a five-day online vote, considering six dimensions including regional distinctiveness, quality, and safety.

To enhance the influence of Taizhou souvenirs, selections from the municipal list were further recommended for "Zhejiang Provincial Characteristic Souvenirs." This year, six additional provincial-level characteristic souvenirs were added, including "Jiang You Ni" Three-Delicacy Ginger Noodle Soup and "Yu Man Yuan" Linhai Mandarin Oranges, marking the highest annual increase to date.

Currently, the city has cultivated 181 municipal-level characteristic souvenirs, 29 provincial-level characteristic souvenirs, and 2 Yangtze River Delta regional characteristic souvenirs, forming a "brand cluster" of distinctive souvenirs with regional influence.

At the event, the city released its first "Taizhou Characteristic Souvenirs Hand-Drawn Electronic Map," featuring all 181 specialty products, making it convenient for residents to shop in a one-stop manner.

To support Zhejiang’s high-quality development in building a common prosperity demonstration zone, Taizhou’s province-wide pilot project "Common Prosperity Product Exhibition · Zhejiang Premium Products Store" also launched today. The platform is dedicated to creating a localized shared exhibition and sales vehicle guided by the government, led by the market, and driven by collaborative enterprise development. It aims to effectively address the practical challenges of cultivating, promoting, and enhancing Taizhou’s distinctive high-quality products.
