'Taizhou Cuisine Heritage Class' Established! Goal: Skilled Cooking & Management Expertise
On May 24, the inauguration ceremony for the "Taizhou Cuisine" Industry-Education Integration Community and the "Taizhou Cuisine Heritage Class" was held at Linhai Secondary Vocational and Technical School.

The school established the "Taizhou Cuisine Heritage Class" to dedicate efforts towards promoting Taizhou cuisine culture and cultivating a new generation of culinary talents. On this new platform based on the "Taizhou Cuisine" industry-education integration community, the class systematically imparts Taizhou cuisine cooking techniques. It aims to train a group of talents who are not only proficient in culinary skills but also possess modern catering management capabilities, thereby meeting the demand for professionals in the development of the Taizhou cuisine industry. Simultaneously, by deeply integrating education with industry, it provides students with more practical opportunities and career pathways, driving the development of vocational education.
In recent years, a number of leading catering enterprises in Taizhou have begun expanding nationwide and even globally. The development of Taizhou cuisine and the Taizhou catering industry has shown vigorous vitality, becoming an important window to showcase Taizhou culture. The reputation and recognition of "Taizhou Cuisine" have been continuously rising. On April 23, 2023, Taizhou City held the Taizhou Cuisine and Food Industry Development Conference, proposing to mobilize the entire city's efforts to build the Taizhou cuisine culinary system, accelerate the development of the food industry, and strive to create a "World Capital of Gastronomy."
The establishment of the Heritage Class is not only an inheritance of Taizhou cuisine culture but also an innovation in education. Through this class, a new path of deep integration between education and industry is being explored, providing new ideas and models for the development of vocational education. It aims to cultivate a group of catering talents with profound cultural heritage and modern management skills, who can closely align with the development of Taizhou cuisine, thereby providing strong talent support for the growth of the Taizhou cuisine industry.

During the event, the unveiling ceremony for the "Taizhou Cuisine Talent Training Base" and the certificate presentation ceremony for "Enterprise Mentors" were also held. Subsequently, representatives from various renowned catering enterprises in the Taizhou region, invited to attend the ceremony, performed the apprentice initiation and toque ceremony for the students. Wang Xingyou, President of the Taizhou Catering Industry Association, said, "The establishment of the 'Taizhou Cuisine Heritage Class' is a crucial step in promoting the inheritance and development of Taizhou cuisine skills. It holds significant meaning for cultivating the new generation of culinary talents. We look forward to the school, with support from all sectors, becoming a cradle for the inheritance of Taizhou cuisine culture."
